Our story
Founded by a Danish Design pioneer
In 1958, Jacob Jensen established our studio, Jacob Jensen Design, in Copenhagen. He was among the first of the great Danish designers to train as an industrial designer, and he quickly became recognised as a pioneer due to his unique ability to merge technology and aesthetics. While times may have changed, the relevance of Jacob’s approach and ideas has not — and they still drive our team and our designs today.
A unique legacy
Jacob Jensen is particularly well known for the ground-breaking design language he developed for a long range of clients, including Bang & Olufsen. The partnership between B&O and Jacob Jensen started in 1964 and continued in various forms for more than 25 years and spanning more than 260 different products. Some of the designs have recently been relaunched and are helping Bang & Olufsen maintain their status as an international design icon.
